Some of my picks for 2011

I really enjoy digging into new music whenever I can, and there was no shortage of that this past year. So, much like my post from around this time in 2010, here are some of my favourite albums that came out in 2011 (in no particular order):

Now, go grab yourself a copy of these and enjoy!

Now Available – Original Music From Mary Mae

Between the end of October and early November 2011, I scored another short film for Kristian Lariviere (the first one was the Zombie Beer Commercial). The film, entitled Mary Mae, was created as part of the Digi60 Film Festival here in Ottawa.

The film will be screened at the festival this weekend on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at 8:15 p.m. at Centrepointe Theatre (Buy Tickets Here) and to mark the occasion, I’m releasing the soundtrack!

You can purchase the EP of the soundtrack over at http://kevindaoust.bandcamp.com for either $0.69 per track, or for the low price of $2 for all four songs and a PDF copy of the cover and liner notes.

But wait, there’s more! To further mark the occasion, use promo code “marymae” when you purchase the EP to get it at 50% off! That’s $1! The code is valid until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2011, so pick up your copy today!

Don’t forget to leave me a comment to tell me what you think of the music! I hope you enjoy it! And don’t forget to catch Mary Mae at the Digi60 Film Festival!
